This role serves as the first line of response for overnight operational issues and plays a key role in ensuring system availability and successful daily processing. The ideal candidate is reliable, highly attentive to detail, able to work independently, and possesses strong troubleshooting, communication, and critical-thinking skills.\nAccountabilities:\nProduction Monitoring and Batch Processing\nMonitor overnight batch processing and production systems to ensure successful completion of scheduled jobs.\nIdentify, investigate, and respond to processing failures, system alerts, and operational exceptions.\nEscalate issues to appropriate technical resources according to established procedures.\nFollow documented recovery procedures and perform approved corrective actions when necessary.\nValidate successful completion of daily, weekly, monthly, and year-end processing activities.\nMonitor system performance and processing timelines to identify potential delays or concerns.\nMaintain operational logs, processing records, and incident documentation.\nExecute scheduled operational tasks according to established procedures and calendars.\nParticipate in on-call coverage and shift handoffs as required.\nEnsure production changes are implemented according to Change Management processes and procedures\nIncident Response and Operational Support\nServe as the primary overnight point of contact for operational issues.\nCommunicate processing status and incidents to management and support teams.\nWork with internal IT staff and vendors to assist in issue resolution.\nDocument incidents, actions taken, and outcomes to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.\nVerify resolution of processing issues and ensure production schedules return to normal operation.\nDocumentation and Continuous Improvement\nMaintain and update Standard Operating Procedures and operational documentation.\nRecommend process improvements that increase efficiency, reliability, and operational effectiveness.\nAssist with testing and validation of new operational procedures and production schedules.\nParticipate in disaster recovery exercises and operational readiness activities as assigned.\nMaintains a commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement, increasing value to ESL.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or General Equivalency degree required \nAssociates degree in IT, computer science or closely related field or 2 years of additional experience in computer operations, production support, IT support, or a related technical role. \n1+ year of experience in computer operations, production support, IT support, or a related technical role.\nEffective organization, communications, interpersonal and documentation skills\nBasic troubleshooting skills for automated operational processes.\nMicrosoft Office Suite skills\nUnderstanding of basic business banking products\nAbility to work independently when following predetermined procedures and process flows\nDemonstrates alignment with ESL’s Core Values, mission, vision, and Purpose to help our community thrive and prosper\nPreferred Qualifications:\n3+ years of experience in computer operations, production support, IT support, or a related technical role.\n2 years experience monitoring automated systems, batch jobs, or operational processes. \nExperience on multiple hardware/software platforms (Windows, Linux, SQL, Oracle) \nHigh level understanding of banking products, services, and supporting business processes\nAdvanced troubleshooting skills that include file transfer, file manipulation and internet based file transfer processes\n\nWe’re committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
