The ideal candidate has experience with thin-film coating processes, chemical reaction control, and continuous-flow or R2R wet-processing equipment.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nDevelop, optimize, and maintain chemical bath deposition processes for thin-film layer formation on flexible substrates. \nOperate and own R2R chemical coating equipment, including solution delivery, heating, mixing, agitation, web movement, and drying systems. \nPrepare chemical solutions, adjust concentrations, control reaction kinetics, and maintain precise bath chemistry to ensure consistent film growth. \nMonitor real-time process variables (temperature, pH, flow, concentration, deposition rate, web tension, alignment) and define control limits. \nPerform routine inspections, calibrations, and preventive maintenance on CBD and R2R equipment. \nTroubleshoot process deviations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. \nWork closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to scale processes from lab/pilot to high-volume manufacturing. \nMaintain accurate records of chemical usage, batch logs, deposition parameters, and production results according to SOPs. \nEnsure full compliance with chemical handling, safety, and environmental protocols. \nWhat you will bring to this role:\nAdvanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering Technology, or related technical field. \nMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience in chemical deposition processes for thin films (CBD, wet coating, electrochemical, plating, sol-gel, or similar). \nStrong understanding of wet-chemical reaction control, solution stability, stoichiometry, and bath kinetics. \nExperience operating or developing roll-to-roll (R2R) or web-based chemical processing equipment. \nFamiliarity with process control, analytical measurements (pH, concentration, thickness), and statistical process methods. \nAbility to work safely with chemicals, pressurized systems, heated baths, and cleanroom protocols. \nExtra points for the following:\nExperience scaling chemical processes from lab to pilot to production. \nKnowledge of industrial chemical delivery systems, metering pumps, filtration, or recirculation systems. \nBackground in continuous wet-coating or immersion-based deposition systems. \nExperience in high-volume thin-film or flexible-electronics manufacturing environments. \nAdditional Requirements\nThis is a fast-paced, high-impact environment -
