Working at Esri will make a difference for good while maintaining infrastructure, managing natural resources, responding to disasters, and more.\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate with a team of SREs and DevOps engineers to operate SaaS capabilities across multiple cloud providers and regions\nDesign, implement, and maintain the operational components within the ArcGIS Online hosted services platform, which leverages modern container infrastructure running Kubernetes\nCreate deployment tools, scripts, and additional components that enable deployment of our applications to cloud platforms across different environments at a global scale with zero downtime\nBuild scalable, efficient cloud infrastructure that can be monitored using automated system health checks with tools such as Prometheus and cloud monitoring\nWork closely with development teams to improve workflows around build, test, and deployment of applications\nRequirements\n1+ years of software development or DevOps engineer experience\nAdministration experience using scripting languages (Bash/PowerShell)\nExperience with automation using scripting (Python/Ruby/Golang) and tools such as Puppet, Chef\nA good understanding of the web and its protocols/technologies\nFirm grasp on version control concepts and build systems\nExperience doing continuous integration and deployment with tools such as Jenkins\nExperience with web servers (Jetty/Tomcat/IIS)\nUnderstanding of web, http, networking, security, scaling, and cloud native architecture\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related technology field\nRecommended Qualifications\nKnowledge of cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP)\nKnowledge of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum)\nKnowledge of CI/CD systems (Jenkins/Travis/CircleCI)\nExperience building deployment tools\nMaster’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related technology field\nTotal Rewards\nEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
