Join the Spatial Statistics team and help build the next generation of analytical tools and capabilities in ArcGIS.\nAs a Product Engineer on the Spatial Statistics team, you'll work closely with software developers, researchers, product managers, and users to design, test, and deliver analytical tools that help people understand where things happen, why they happen, and what may happen next. You'll translate user needs into powerful analytical workflows, define product requirements, and help deliver production-ready software that is thoroughly tested and documented. If you're curious, collaborative, and passionate about solving real-world problems with spatial analysis, we'd love to hear from you.\nResponsibilities\nResearch, design, test, and document new spatial statistics and spatial data science tools in ArcGIS\nCollaborate with users to understand analytical challenges and translate them into product requirements and software capabilities\nValidate analytical methods and ensure tools produce reliable, interpretable, and trustworthy results\nDevelop sample datasets, documentation, tutorials, and educational material to support user success\nResearch emerging approaches in spatial analysis, statistics, machine learning, and GeoAI and evaluate their application within ArcGIS\nWork closely with developers, designers, and product teams to create and ship high quality software in an agile environment\nSupport user adoption through documentation, presentations, demonstrations, conferences, and engagement with the GIS community\nRequirements\n1 year of experience with ArcGIS Pro, including spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data management\nStrong understanding of GIS concepts and spatial analytical methods\nDemonstrated experience with at least one programming language such as Python, R, C#, or JavaScript\nStrong problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate analytical workflows and interpret results\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work collaboratively in a highly interactive and cross-functional team environment\nBachelor's degree in GIS, geography, spatial data science, statistics, computer science, engineering, environmental sciences, urban planning or a related field\nRecommended Qualifications\nExperience with spatial statistics, predictive modeling, machine learning, or GeoAI\nExperience translating user needs into product requirements, software designs, or analytical workflows\nExperience creating technical documentation, tutorials, training materials, or conference presentations\nFamiliarity with scientific methods, quantitative analysis, and reproducible research practices\nMaster's or PhD in GIS, geography, spatial data science, statistics, computer science, engineering, environmental sciences, urban planning, or a related field\nTotal Rewards\nEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
