Join our fast-paced, dynamic team and help shape The Science of Where®.\nResponsibilities\nPlan, design, test, and release components within the ArcGIS Online platform across AWS, Azure, and VMware infrastructure\nContribute to implementation design, backend API quality assurance, and improvements to cloud-based software update processes\nAssist in the design, testing, and validation of security features that enhance ArcGIS Online\nPerform functional and workflow-driven testing, including both manual and automated testing, to ensure product quality and release readiness\nTroubleshoot, investigate, and triage customer-reported issues\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and integrate solutions into the platform\nCreate and share technical content through help documentation, blog posts, tutorials, conference presentations, and sample workflows\nRequirements\n2+ years of experience in GIS technologies (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, or similar) and software testing or software development within an engineering environment\nExperience creating and executing test plans and test automation for UI and/or web services\nHands-on experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like EC2, S3, SQS, Azure Virtual Machines, Storage, Kubernetes, or similar technologies\nUnderstanding of REST APIs and web services\nExperience automating workflows through scripting\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills\nPassion for building and delivering high-quality software\nStrong organizational, time management, and communication skills\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, Geography, or a related field\nRecommended Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, Geography, or a related field\nExperience with deployment of automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), or Helm charts\nUnderstanding of cloud-native architecture and design principles\nKnowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or DB2\nExperience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, JMeter, or ReadyAPI\nExperience building and delivering software products\nExperience with Java, Python, or other scripting languages\nTotal Rewards\nEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
