You will guide customers on deployment strategies, high availability architectures, system performance, and integration across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures.\nYou will act as a trusted technical leader, solving complex system challenges, influencing architecture decisions, and ensuring ArcGIS platforms are scalable, resilient, and aligned to mission needs. \nThis role combines deep hands-on system engineering with technical leadership in environments where performance, security, and mission impact are critical. \nEsri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Redlands, CA area for this position. \nResponsibilities\nDeploy and configure complex ArcGIS in a wide variety of environments across operation systems, cloud providers, security architectures, customer types and organizations, to meet the customer's service level agreement\nPlan and execute the migration of content from one ArcGIS deployment to another, encompassing different architectures, deployment strategies and software components\nTroubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, providing guidance for platform components such as storage, networking and security\nWork closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform\nCollaborate internally to help customer organizations align their technical objectives and business goals with Esri's technology platform\nRequirements\n12+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities\nExperience designing, implementing and/or administrating enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server and online)\nBroad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux\nWorking knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (such as Python, PowerShell, Javascript, C#)\nFamiliarity with network concepts and topics (such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing)\nExperience with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing (such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)\nUS citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or STEM related field\nRecommended Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or STEM related field\nOne or more industry-standard IT certifications (such as Esri, Microsoft, Amazon)\nCompTIA Security + certification \nExperience with Esri software including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Runtime and their associates APIs or interfaces\nCloud-based system operations (SysOps)\nTotal Rewards\nEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
