You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create solutions that work seamlessly across indoor and outdoor contexts, empowering users in various industries.\nThe Esri R&D Center in Vienna, Austria, leads the research and development of cutting-edge indoor positioning systems technologies used in ArcGIS IPS. By combining radio signal data from Bluetooth Low Energy beacons and Wi-Fi with trajectory information derived from motion sensors on everyday mobile devices, we aim to deliver the world’s best indoor blue dot experience for our users.\nResponsibilities\nBuild C++ software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and optimize them to run on smartphones\nWork as part of our agile product development team\nWork with the research team to develop indoor positioning-related algorithms\nEvaluate implementations of algorithms to determine their impact and usefulness\nWrite and maintain unit test cases for the C++ core libraries used in our SDK, using a test-driven development approach where appropriate\nCommunicate requirements and dependencies of the component within the system within the team\nRequirements\n2+ years of commercial (or equivalent scale and complexity) C++ software development experience\nFluent and passionate about modern C++ (11/14/17/20) and associated technologies (STL, Boost, Clang, MSVC)\nUnderstanding of scientific algorithm specifications\nAbility to work closely with the team to build quality software in a constantly evolving environment\nStrong communication skills in English\nBachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field\nRecommended Qualifications\nMaster's degree in computer science\nProfessional experience developing with Python\nPassion for supporting graphics and visualization tools\nC++ for mobile applications such as Android or iOS\nThe Company\nAt Esri, diversity is more than just a word on a map.
