If you're excited about building scalable software that makes a difference, we’d love to connect with you.\nCheck out what this team is working on: https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-3d-analyst/overview\nResponsibilities\nBuild C++ software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models\nWork closely with product engineers to implement requirements and create application architectures and API to meet product goals\nCreate solutions for spatial data access and management of large datasets that are stored in a spatial database or file system\nDesign and develop stable software that includes automated test validation\nDevelop reusable components and libraries for use internally and as open source\nWork within agile processes for short cycle, fast-paced delivery\nDrive high-impact initiatives that challenge conventional boundaries and deliver breakthrough results\nSolve and articulate complex problems through application design, development, and exemplary user experiences\nRequirements\n5+ years of experience working with Modern C++\nExperience with 3D graphics APIs such as WebGPU, OpenGL, or DirectX\nUnderstanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns\nStrong math skills and expertise in computational geometry, topology, and data modeling for terrain and surface analysis\nExperience working with large datasets of vector and terrain/lidar data as well as data structures for storing, manipulating, and visualizing 3D data\nExperience with workflow computing, for example UI programming, scripting, and test authoring\nKnowledge of Agile development methodologies and test-driven development processes\nPrior experience with the development and release of commercial software\nExcellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related field\nRecommended Qualifications\nKnowledge of parallel, multi-core, and distributed programming techniques including heterogeneous multi-core environments (GPUs + CPUs, CUDA)\nExperience building file-based solutions and/or with databases and data access technologies\nExperience with application scripting languages (such as Python, JavaScript) and web protocols and formats such as REST and JSON\nExperience developing software that runs in a cloud\nFamiliarity with ArcGIS or other web mapping technologies\nMaster's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related field\nTotal Rewards\nEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
