We’re looking for a Senior Product Engineer who combines strong analytical skills, domain curiosity, and a passion for building high-quality, user-centered software.\nIn this role, you will play a key part in defining, validating, and communicating Network Diagram capabilities, with a strong focus on integration with Utility Network workflows. You will collaborate closely with development teams to refine requirements, influence product design, and ensure a seamless and effective user experience. You will also contribute to the quality of the product through thoughtful validation, exploratory testing, and real-world scenario analysis.\nThis is a highly collaborative role that blends product thinking, domain expertise, and hands-on investigation to deliver meaningful value to our users.\nResponsibilities\nBuild deep expertise in Network Diagrams and Utility Network workflows, contributing to product direction and design decisions\nCollaborate with engineering teams to refine requirements, scenarios, and expected system behavior\nUse domain knowledge and AI-assisted analysis to explore workflows, identify gaps, and improve user experience\nValidate capabilities through exploratory, scenario-based, and data-driven approaches grounded in real-world use cases\nApply sound testing practices and use scripting and AI-assisted techniques to improve coverage and efficiency\nIdentify, reproduce, and help resolve issues in collaboration with development teams\nInvestigate customer-reported issues using real workflows and AI-assisted analysis to accelerate understanding and resolution\nEvaluate product behavior using utility and network scenarios to drive meaningful improvements\nContribute to best practices that support successful customer adoption of Network Diagram capabilities\nCreate clear, high-quality documentation, guidance, and examples that support user success\nCommunicate complex technical concepts effectively across teams and to users\nLeverage AI-assisted tools to improve clarity, consistency, and efficiency in content and communication\nRequirements\n5+ years of experience in a GIS, software development, or related technical environment\nExperience with network visualization, diagrams, or schematics\nExperience with utility or telecommunications networks and their data models and workflows\nExperience with Python for scripting and automation \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex systems and workflows\nSolid understanding of software quality practices and validation approaches\nGood understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies\nProven ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly\nStrong organizational skills and ability to drive work independently\nAbility to effectively use modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to enhance productivity\nBachelor’s degree in GIS, engineering, computer science, or a related field\nExisting work authorization for France \nRecommended Qualifications\nFamiliarity with ArcGIS, especially ArcGIS Pro and Utility Network\nExperience working with relational or geospatial databases\nProgramming experience in C# \nExperience contributing to technical documentation or user guidance\nFamiliarity with version control systems such as Git\nAdvanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant field\nThe Company\nAt Esri, diversity is more than just a word on a map.
