If you’re hands-on, flexible, and enjoy being the person others count on, we want to meet you.\nAs the Facilities & Warehouse Associate, you’ll join the Warehouse team and split your time between warehouse operations, (picking, packing, shipping and receiving) facilities, and internal-team support across our warehouse and corporate office. You’ll also support interdepartmental projects and other ad hoc projects as requested such as supporting events, including set-up, tear-down and logistics. The warehouse is your home base, with regular trips between the warehouse and office throughout the week as the work requires.\nWhat You’ll Do\nUnload boxes and stock inbound shipments\nPick, pack and ship outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness\nSort and pull stock by style number, and place gowns on rolling racks, positioning racks throughout the warehouse\nAssist with inventory management, including scanning items for stocktake\nServe as the point person for daily facilities needs at the warehouse\nComplete small facilities and maintenance jobs at the office and warehouse, such as patching holes, painting, assembling and moving furniture and equipment, and other minor repairs\nCover for the Facilities and Office Coordinator during time out of the office, including day-to-day office and kitchen upkeep, supply checks and facility requests\nSubmit building maintenance requests and work with vendors and the landlord on larger repairs, escalating to management as needed\nBe the go-to resource for miscellaneous job requests from internal teams\nSupport events, including set-up, tear-down and logistics\nSupport interdepartmental projects and other ad hoc projects as requested\nQualifications\nWhat We Are Looking For:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in business or a related field preferred\n2-3 years of experience in a warehouse, order fulfillment or shipping/receiving environment; apparel wholesale/retail distribution or order fulfillment experience is helpful\nExperience in facilities, general maintenance, event set-up or a similar hands-on role strongly preferred\nBasic hands-on facilities skills (e.g., patching and painting, assembling and moving furniture or fixtures, common hand and power tools) with a safety-first approach\nExperience with inventory tracking, scanning and receiving software preferred; experience with a task or project management tool preferred; working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel\nExceptional attention to detail, organization and accuracy\nSelf-motivated and solution focused, with good judgment and the ability to work independently and as part of a team\nProfessional, friendly and service-minded, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with internal teams and vendors\nAbility to manage shifting priorities, multi-task and adapt to change in a fast-paced, growing environment\nValid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record\nAbility to regularly lift 35-60 pounds, work on your feet for most of the day, squat, bend, kneel, climb and stand on ladders, and frequently push and pull rolling racks\nFlexibility to work overtime and to occasionally assist with events or tasks outside of standard work hours\nWhat We Offer\nEssense of Australia is a company with heart.
