Be familiar with the latest edition of National Electrical Code (NEC). Familiarity with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) in particular as applies to safety and NFPA 70E. Must be able to form, bend and route aluminum, EMT, rigid, and PVC conduits up to 2\" in diameter per industry standards. Be capable of using the following test equipment:\nDigital VOM\nAnalog\nMegger\nSignal Generator\nPressure/Level/Flow Calibrator\n\"Smart\" Instruments\nProgrammable Recorders\nCalibrators (4-20MA, etc.)\nOscilloscope\nVoltage/Current Recorders\nMotor Testing Equipment\nMust be able to comprehend job specifications and engineering drawings to complete tasks.\nRequired to work at heights and on roofs, using a ladder or scaffolding.\nHave a working knowledge of 120/208V and 277/480V 3 Phase, 4 wire voltage systems.\nAssist on medium voltage applications up to 7200V as required.\nHave working experience with general wiring practices as they apply to single and three phase motors and transformers, lighting fixtures, receptacles and instrumentation.\nWork with outside contractors, utility crews (electrical and telephone) and other company departments to solve problems.\nThe ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics and to use the same in troubleshooting.\nAn understanding of small air compressor systems and associated instruments and controls.\nA thorough working knowledge of motor starters (size 00-6) and their control systems. Ability to troubleshoot and correct problems as required. The ability to disassemble, clean, test, and reassemble a motor starter is required.\nPossess an understanding of AC variable frequency drives, DC Drives, programmable logic controllers and the ability to diagnose problems and repair equipment, where feasible. A strong electronics background would be helpful. Experience with motor operated valves a plus.\nBe familiar with emergency generators, transfer switches and 125 VDC battery systems.\nUnderstand, and have a working knowledge of electronics and various instrumentation signals (4-20 MA, 1-5 VDC, tachometers, capacitance, radar, etc.) and the ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits.\nAn understanding of protective relays, switch gear operation, and synchronous motor control at 2400V and above would be beneficial.\nA familiarity with satellite and radio communications equipment and S.C.A.D.A. systems is required.\nProficient in the use of all electrical trade hand tools including hand held power tools, threading machine, hole coring machine.\nBe capable of working independently following written and verbal instructions.\nShall be required to respond to emergency situations during off hours and available for overtime on short notice.\nShall be capable of operating computers for Aqua's asset management system (currently Maintenance Connection) and basic programs such as Microsoft Outlook and Word. Successful candidate shall generate and complete work orders in Maintenance Connection system, and complete preventative maintenance, inspection, and repair checklist templates.\nThe hourly rate of pay is $46.24.\nAll employees hired or entering the bargaining unit on or after December 15, 2022, will receive four dollars ($4.00) per hour less than the classification wage rate. The wage reduction will be returned in one dollar ($1.00) increases once a year over a four (4) year period.
