Please refer to other openings.\nResponsibilities Include:\nAssisting in the construction, operation and maintenance of gas distribution, transportation or production system.\nSetting meters, retiring old meter sets, setting curb boxes, repairing service lines, connecting and disconnecting meters, repairing leaks.\nUsing tapping and other air compressor equipment and making connections at mainlines.\nPerforming ditch digging, back filling, carrying tools and materials connected with the job.\nOperating one or more of the following types of equipment: backhoes, excavators, dump trucks.\nThis position is a covered function regulated by 49 CFR Part 192 (pipeline safety rules) and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.\nNote to veterans of the United States Military: We value your service to our country and recognize the skills and competencies gained during your military career. If selected as a successful candidate, we will work with you to identify transferable skills gained in the military that can be applied to civilian careers at Peoples Natural Gas.\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.\nValid driver's license and good driving record.\nMust possess or have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL.\nProven experience working outdoors performing construction/manual labor.\nAbility to operate heavy equipment, backhoe experience is preferred.
