Work day or nights, 8-hour shifts schedules including weekends and holidays, and overtime as needed.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation: High School Diploma or GED certificate preferred.\nExperience: Previous work experience in agriculture, production, or manufacturing preferred.\nJOB DUTIES:\nOperate production equipment under the supervision of the shift supervisor as follows:\nNano-filtration, UV or dryer operation (Job dependent)\nMonitor and document product volume, temperatures, times, and pressure readings \nConnect pipes and hoses\nAdjust valves and operate pumps\nClean dryer spray nozzles and tips\nMonitor gauges, take solids readings and clean outside of all equipment using chemicals (caustics, acids, and hot water)\nMonitor equipment to ensure proper function and operation\nMust know type of product, source, and all handling procedures involved in each processing procedure\nFull understanding of product flow\nProcess plasma in nano-filtration room, connect pipes, operate electrical pumps and clean equipment\nAssist with the change out of membranes as needed\nMaintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility\nMaintain general housekeeping of production areas\nEnsure all charts are charts are properly documented according to company and regulatory regulations\nEnsure all paperwork is done correctly and completely\nOperate pallet jack and forklift\nProficient computer skills\nCIP silos and equipment\nComplies with and follows company food safety and quality policies.\nSample product in according and adherence to all SOPs, procedures and quality requirements, document, and report raw material that is out of specification.\nPerforms elementary mechanical and carpentry repairs throughout plant as instructed by supervision.\nEngage in continuous improvement and process improvement\nAnticipate problems and implement solutions\nDemonstrate good judgement in safeguarding customer, company, vendor and employee information.\nAssume responsibility for the attainment of plant goals and objectives.\nMaintain cooperative working relationships and communications with employees from all other departments and peers\nAssists maintenance with repairing/replacing motors and pumps throughout the plant\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to prepare and operate all machinery associated with job tasks\nGeneral knowledge of production/manufacturing methods\nAbility to read gauges and record data in a legible manner and in accordance with established procedures\nAbility to learn to handle inedible protein materials in accordance with established sanitary procedures and practices.\nAbility to understand and follow established work procedures, including mandated sanitary and safety guidelines.\nMust be able to read, write and speak in English to prepare and comprehend logs, schedules, and communicate with fellow employees.\nMust have good communication skills, both verbal and written.\nAbility to operate forklift/pallet jack.\nAbility to perform basic math skills.\nAbility to move freely throughout plant with sustained physical/mental effort to climb, sample and clean equipment and work areas.\nAbility to remain calm and professional during peak periods.\nAbility to troubleshoot malfunctions and situations as they arise, notifying appropriate staff of problems beyond scope of normality.\nAbility to cooperate with all staff.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.\nAbility to work daily and overtime as necessary.\nAbility to assist in all work areas.\nTakes on additional responsibility when both big and small tasks need to be done.\nFirmly adheres to the values and ethics of APC\nWilling to work with others, collaborating and compromising when necessary, promptly share relevant information with others\nIs open to changing situations and is willing to perform all tasks when and where assigned\nAble and willing to perform task and duties independently\nMaintains a positive and professional attitude and work ethic\nFollow all GMPs and work in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory, food, safety, quality and sanitation requirements.\nBASIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nApproximate: 8 Hour Day (may be longer during peak season)\nKey:\nOccasional = 0% -
