Every day, EssilorLuxottica’s 190,000 employees in 150 countries work towards a common mission to help people see more and be more.\nAs a CSSD Technician, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring the safe and effective cleaning, processing and sterilisation of surgical instruments and equipment. You will work in accordance with relevant legislation, infection control standards and organisational policies and procedures, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.\nThis is a permanent part-time opportunity, offering 16 hours per week.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the safe and effective cleaning, processing, sterilisation and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment.\nOperate CSSD equipment in accordance with established procedures and manufacturer guidelines.\nComplete instrument cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging and sterilisation processes to a high standard.\nMonitor and document sterilisation cycles, equipment performance and biological testing results.\nMaintain accurate instrument tracking, documentation and daily compliance records.\nEnsure all CSSD processes are completed in line with current infection control standards, including AS/NZS 5369:2023\nWork closely with the wider clinical team to ensure instruments and equipment are prepared to support scheduled theatre lists.\nIdentify and report any issues, incidents or risks promptly and contribute to maintaining a safe clinical environment.\nFollow all relevant policies, procedures, PPE and infection control requirements.\nParticipate in ongoing training, competency assessments and professional development.\nContribute positively to a collaborative team environment and support continuous improvement across the CSSD.\nAbout You\nCertificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services, or currently working towards a relevant qualification.\nPrevious experience as a CSSD Technician in a sterilisation services environment.\nSound knowledge of instrument cleaning, processing and sterilisation practices.\nUnderstanding of infection control, risk management and relevant sterilisation standards.\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and patient safety.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and managing competing priorities.\nReliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.\nStrong communication skills and a professional, positive approach.\nCommitted to ongoing learning, training and maintaining current competencies.\nExperience with automated endoscope reprocessing would be advantageous, where relevant to the role.\nWorking at EssilorLuxottica\nA career with EssilorLuxottica will offer you rewarding experiences and the opportunity to develop your skills every day.
