Exceeds customers’ expectations through manufacturing eyewear in accordance with LensCrafters Quality Manufacturing Program. Ensures speed and reliability of service.\nMAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nProduce quality eyewear by utilizing the Quality Manufacturing Program (QMP): selecting lenses, marking, taping, blocking, generating, fining & polishing, coating polycarbonate lenses, first (surface) inspecting, finish layout & blocking, edging, tinting, UV & anti-reflective coating, grooving, drop-ball testing, safety monogramming, mounting & final inspection\nResponsible for operation, cleaning & maintenance of laboratory tools & equipment\nPerform multiple tasks simultaneously & accurately despite time pressures & customer volume\nUtilize product knowledge to determine the best manufacturing process for all orders to ensure the production of top quality eyewear in alignment with expected delivery time\nAttention to detail with measurements, calculations, equipment settings & defective product\nTake initiative to follow up on discrepancies, suggest improvements, recommend solutions & ensure customer satisfaction\nReview Accufit & diagnose vision care needs\nShow initiative in keeping the lab/stock room clean, organized & safe\nComply with all safety/regulatory requirements ensuring supplies/chemicals are stored & used per chemical safety program\nDemonstrate safe work practices including wearing personal protective equipment while in the lab\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Graduate or equivalent\nStrong customer service skills (internal and external)\nStrong communicator and listener\nStrong basic math skills\nOrganizational skills\nProblem solving skills\nStrong inter-personal skills (friendly, caring, patient)\nKnowledge of store merchandise\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nOptical training\nPrevious experience in optical\nExperience with machinery\nThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our business.
