Discover more by following us on LinkedIn!\nMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nYou will maintain and repair a variety of optical processing equipment, dividing your time between supporting production and performing preventative maintenance. In particular you can expect to:\nPerform installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing equipment.\nLocate and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.\nCreate/update standard operating procedures, work instructions, etc.\nInspects and repairs production and support equipment, using mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum technologies.\nProvide guidance, training and direction to an assigned individual, group of employees or team.\nAll duties to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance, availability for overtime and ability to adjust schedule as needed.\nKeys to Success\nWe'll provide training, but change will be ongoing, and your own role may evolve. Experience with optical processing equipment is a plus.\nBasic skills in both mechanical and electrical.\nExperience with schematics, HVAC and/or welding is preferred but not required.\nBasic math skills.\nThe ability to follow written and verbal instructions.\nBasic computer skills.\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nExcellent organizational abilities.\nAttention to detail.\nYou need to know:\nThis position requires that you stand and walk for the majority of any shift.\nYou'll work with and around chemicals.\nWork areas may be wet and/or dirty and or have a strong smell.\nYou'll need to be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs. to waist height on a regular basis.\nWe are customer-driven, so we'll look to you to be flexible about working overtime as needed.\nThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our business.
