Join us in redefining the boundaries of what’s possible!\nYOUR ROLE\nThe Quality Laboratory Intern will support testing and quality control activities on eyewear products, including materials, coatings, lenses, accessories, and packaging.\nWorking closely with the Lab Manager and a team of laboratory specialists, the intern will gain hands-on experience in laboratory testing, quality assurance procedures, equipment management, and analysis of test results.\nBased in Agordo, this role offers a unique opportunity to work within the central laboratory of an international network, contributing to the implementation and continuous improvement of testing methods and quality standards across global laboratories.\nThe position is designed for candidates who are detail-oriented, curious, proactive, and interested in developing a career in quality control, laboratory testing, and product quality assurance.\nAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:\nLaboratory Testing & Analysis\nSupport the execution of standard and internally developed tests on eyewear products and materials, following established procedures and protocols.\nAssist in analyzing test results and identifying potential quality issues or deviations.\nContribute to preparing accurate test reports and documenting findings for internal stakeholders.\nSupport the evaluation of product performance and compliance with quality requirements.\nLaboratory Equipment Management\nAssist in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments and testing equipment.\nSupport routine calibration activities to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability.\nHelp identify and report equipment malfunctions or technical issues.\nLearn laboratory best practices related to equipment handling and maintenance.\nQuality Compliance & Documentation\nSupport laboratory activities in accordance with company procedures and international quality standards.\nMaintain accurate and organized records of testing procedures, results, and related documentation.\nEnsure traceability and reliability of laboratory data.\nAssist in updating laboratory documentation and testing protocols.\nContinuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration\nCollaborate with the Lab Manager and laboratory team to identify opportunities for improving testing methods and processes.\nSupport initiatives aimed at enhancing laboratory efficiency and testing reliability.\nWork with Quality Assurance and Product Development teams to support product quality objectives.\nContribute to knowledge-sharing activities and best-practice alignment across the international laboratory network.\nMAIN REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh school diploma in a technical or scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science) or currently pursuing/recently completed a degree in a related discipline.\nInterest in laboratory testing, quality control, and materials analysis.\nGood analytical skills and ability to follow technical procedures and testing protocols accurately.\nStrong attention to detail, precision, and reliability in handling data and documenting results.\nBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nProblem-solving mindset and willingness to learn laboratory techniques and testing methodologies.\nGood communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in a dynamic environment.\nProactive attitude, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines under supervision.\nPLUS:\nPrevious internship, academic laboratory experience, or exposure to quality control activities.\nFamiliarity with laboratory instruments, testing equipment, or calibration procedures.\nBasic knowledge of quality standards, testing methodologies, or materials characterization.\nInterest in continuous improvement initiatives and international quality processes.\nLANGUAGES:\nFluency in Italian (both written and spoken);\nGood knowledge of English (both written and spoken), required for technical documentation and collaboration with the international laboratory network.\nWhat's in it for you\nIn EssilorLuxottica, you are not defined just by your job title.
