Discover more by following us on LinkedIn!\nGENERAL FUNCTIONS\nThe Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day activities to achieve the established metrics and standards for safety, quality, production, customer service, and people management. The Production Supervisor is responsible for developing high-performing teams, being a change agent and continuous improvement, driving results, inspecting, and building a best-in-class working environment. The scope of the role may vary based on various factors (e.g., span of control, volume, number of leads, and equipment and tools).\nMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nEnforces safety and compliance policies and procedures.\nReviews daily production and quality goals using reports, data, and discussions.\nDevelops a daily plan to meet the metrics and key performance indicators.\nAllocates resources to meet production and quality goals, such as staffing assignments and schedules. This includes collaborating with other departments regarding staffing needs.\nMonitors daily production and quality by observing the production floor, supervising employee performance, and inspecting production and quality progress.\nAdjusts production and quality plans, as needed (e.g., revising schedules, reallocating employees to different areas, etc.) to ensure labor efficiency, production and quality goals are met.\nConducts the daily people management responsibilities- interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employee, addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nAddresses complaints and resolves basic employee issues (e.g., teamwork, non-policy violations, payroll and benefits questions).\nEnsures employees are following SOPs and policies (operational, attendance, conduct, etc.).\nWalks the floor to engage and check in with employees and observe production and quality progress.\nCommunicates performance goals and expectations and continuously updates the production team on performance and policies/procedures.\nBuilds and develops teams - talent development practices, performance management and succession planning.\nFosters a positive work environment (e.g., teamwork, fairness, engagement) and ensures employees demonstrate the company’s values.\nImproves production and quality, such as performing root cause analysis and leading improvement projects.\nPartners with other Production Supervisors and departments to achieve the expected results and continuous improvements.\n\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelors degree in business or related field, or equivilate verifiable experience.\n3+ years of experience with leading others.\nDemonstration of skills and abilities, such as the following:\nFocuses on results through goal setting, accountability, coaching\nDeveloping and engaging employees\nLeads as a change agent and continuously improves\nResolves conflict in a timely and productive manner\nSolves problems by addressing root causes\nMakes effective decisions to solve problems\nEffectively manages time to meet the demands of the role\nEffectively communicates, both verbal and written\nCollaborates to achieve expected results\nSelf-motivated with a high sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and adaptability.\nBasic computer skills and proficient with MS Office; ability to learn other systems (SAP).\nExperience in a high-volume environment with complex technical processes.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelors degree in business or related field\nLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.\nPay Range: $56,756.80 - $70,946.00\nThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
