As a Buyer, you’ll manage the procurement of goods and services across multiple Essity locations, driving efficient purchasing and supporting our procurement strategy.\nWe’re looking for an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial acumen, sound judgement and fresh thinking to join our UK Procurement Operations team.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead local purchasing activities, including sourcing, supplier selection, RFQs and negotiations.\nManage procurement risk and ensure appropriate contingency plans are in place.\nPartner with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective purchasing solutions.\nDrive cost savings and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to consolidate spend and improve efficiency.\nImplement procurement strategies and ensure compliance with Essity policies and procedures.\nBuild strong, sustainable supplier relationships and support supplier performance.\nMaintain accurate supplier and purchasing data, including contracts, catalogues and source lists.\nUse S4 and Ariba to execute sourcing activities and support efficient buying processes.\nShare best practice across Procurement and identify opportunities to improve systems and ways of working.\nWho You Are\nExtensive experience: gained within industrial procurement, preferably within manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, engineering or another technically demanding environment.\nCommercial capability: Strong experience in competitive sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management and managing commercial risk. Exposure to engineering services, maintenance or Capex would be particularly valuable.\nStakeholder management: Confident and credible when dealing with operational stakeholders, able to challenge constructively and manage competing priorities.\nOrganisation and autonomy: Highly structured, proactive and comfortable managing complex workloads with limited supervision.\nProcess improvement: Experience of working within established procurement systems and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, governance, and ways of working.\nTeam fit: Collaborative, willing to share expertise and capable of bringing new ideas and higher standards to an established team.\nWhat We Can Offer You\nOur purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-Being, provides meaning to everything we do.
