You'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact through preventative maintenance, equipment improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for safely maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving converting equipment and supporting plant assets. Working closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams, you will help maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support the delivery of high-quality products.\nThis hands-on role offers variety across planned maintenance, breakdown response, shutdown activities, and reliability improvement projects, providing opportunities to further develop your technical capabilities while contributing to a safe and efficient manufacturing operation.\nWhat You Will Do\nCarry out preventative and predictive maintenance activities in line with maintenance plans.\nComplete inspections, lubrication routines, condition monitoring activities, and scheduled shutdown work.\nDiagnose equipment issues and perform effective fault finding and repairs.\nMaintain and repair mechanical systems and components, including:Bearings, Gearboxes, Drives, Conveyors, Pneumatic systems, Hydraulic systems, Pumps and rotating equipment\n\nAccurately record maintenance activities and equipment history within SAP or CMMS systems.\nParticipate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport TPM and asset reliability programmes focused on improving equipment performance and maintainability.\nAssist with the installation, commissioning, and modification of plant and equipment.\nCollaborate effectively with contractors, service providers, and internal teams.\nPromote and uphold strong health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.\nWho You Are\nYou are a safety-focused and collaborative maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, improving equipment performance, and supporting team success.
