This role exists because a clean, orderly plant is essential to the safety of our team, the quality of the power distribution equipment we build, and the impression we make on customers who visit for tours and factory acceptance tests. Working closely with production, maintenance, and office staff, you will handle routine cleaning, waste and recycling, restocking, and general upkeep across the site. Your work directly supports a safe, productive workplace where everyone can do their best work.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nClean and maintain production areas, offices, conference rooms, break rooms, and restrooms on a set schedule so they are consistently safe, sanitary, and presentable.\nSweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors, and operate floor care equipment such as auto-scrubbers, floor buffers, and shop vacuums to keep walkways and work areas free of debris and slip hazards.\nCollect and remove trash, recycling, and scrap materials (e.g., cardboard, wood, metal shavings, and wire scraps) and take them to designated containers and dumpsters.\nRestock restrooms and break rooms with soap, paper products, and other supplies, and track inventory so supplies never run out.\nClean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, time clocks, shared tools, and lunch tables, to help keep employees healthy.\nPrepare offices, conference rooms, and shop areas ahead of customer visits, plant tours, and factory acceptance tests.\nIdentify and report needed repairs, spills, leaks, or unsafe conditions to supervisors or maintenance promptly.\nSafely handle, label, and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures.\nWhat you’ll have\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.\n1+ year of janitorial, custodial, or facilities experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial setting; we will train the right candidate.\nFamiliarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies, and the ability to use chemicals safely and correctly.\nBasic understanding of workplace safety practices; OSHA 10 or forklift experience is a plus.\nStrong attention to detail and pride in keeping a workspace clean and organized.\nReliable, punctual, and able to work independently and manage time across a full cleaning schedule.\nGood communication skills and a team-player attitude when working around production and office staff.\nPhysical requirements and work environment\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.\nAbility to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.
