Job Summary
Technician works to prepare, sterilize, install, assemble, or clean all laboratory or healthcare equipment required for surgeries, examinations, and medical procedures. The CSSD Technician ensures equipment, instruments, and supplies can be reused safely to prevent infections.
Job Responsibilities 1
Sort, document, and disinfect all the collected equipment, instruments, tubes and bottles using the appropriate procedures.
Sterilize and disinfect ,operate sterilization machines effectively, and ensure equipment are appropriately sterilized for reuse.
Collect healthcare and laboratory supplies from different departments regularly, and promptly.

Operate sterilization machines effectively, and ensure equipment are appropriately sterilized for reuse.
Disassemble, sterilize, reassemble, and pack instruments according to the infection control guidelines.
Monitor the sterilization process of clinical equipment and healthcare supplies to ensure quality product and faultless outcome.
Job Responsibilities 2
Record sterilizer test results, recognize disorders, and monitor expiry date; report to the Lead Nurse.
Properly handle, process, and store sterilized equipment and timely distribute to the appropriate department.
Collaborate and coordinate with PHCC’s multidisciplinary team to maintain safety of patients in a controlled environment.
Educate and guide new CSSD Technicians and trainees in performing sterilization activities and operating CSSD equipment.
Liaise with the Biomedical section with regards to regular maintenance and calibration of the machines in the unit.
Abide by PHCC’s safety and infection control regulations, and ensure the implementation of international CSSD standards and process practice.
