May manipulate controls to adjust feed rate of product or cutting tool; and many control direct flow of coolant against cutter and product.\nPerforms minor maintenance activities on mill, such as changing worn cutters, and verifies conformance of work to specifications.\nLoads and unloads tools into carts and transports to appropriate staging area for next manufacturing process.\nCompletes the appropriate routing sheet and inputs data entry information in a timely manner.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation/Experience:\nSix months of related experience, on-the-job training, or equivalent.\nPhysical:\nMust be able to walk and stand at equipment for 8 hours or more per day.\nMust be able to use both hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.\nMust be able to frequently lift up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds.\nMust have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus on work.\nEmployees will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, high noise levels, and vibration to hands.\nEmployees will be required to wear hearing protection, safety glasses and foot protection.\nMental:\nMust have the ability to read and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions and procedure manuals. \nMust be able to perform mathematical skills such as: addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division of all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
