Our employees benefit from a collaborative community, cutting-edge research opportunities, and outstanding resources.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nCoordinates and implements an engaging information literacy program and develops student learning outcomes. Assesses the effectiveness of the literacy program’s strategies and initiatives in support of student success. \nDevelops and implements policies, procedures, programs, and partnerships to build and improve research skills and integrates information literacy components within courses, curriculum, and the learning management system (LMS). \nCreates standards for teaching and learning materials and oversees the creation and maintenance of digital learning objects. \nServes as primary contact for early college high school students.\nProvides library instruction, develops and creates print and online instructional materials, plans and conducts classes and workshops, and integrates multi-literacies into the teaching, learning, and research activities of the university.\nProvides research assistance (in-person, phone, chat, email, video conferencing, etc.) and serves as a subject librarian to a designated college/academic department.\nCollaborates with colleagues and faculty to facilitate collection development to align scholarly resources with the teaching and research needs of the university and college.\nPlans and participates in engagement activities and events and fosters collaborations with students, faculty, and staff in support of student success and retention. \nParticipates in the assessment of research and user engagement activities. \nServes on library and university committees.\nParticipates in continuing education and professional development opportunities.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\nEducation: Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.\nExperience / Knowledge / Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and project management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n Ability to: Excel individually and as a team member. Travel as needed. Work beyond normal office hours (evenings, nights, and weekends) as needed. Multitask and work cooperatively with others. Adapt to a changing library environment. · \nLicensing/Professional Certifications: Valid driver's license.\nPhysical Requirements: Ability to move medium-weight boxes, books, heavy book truck, or similar items.\nOther Requirements: Ability to handle material that can contain dust or microscopic mold spores.\nPREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:\nOne or more years of post-MLS experience in research services (research, reference, instruction) in an academic library.\nExperience developing online learning materials with e-learning technologies/software and other platforms (SpringShare, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, Articulate, etc.).\nExperience with instructional and universal design and active learning techniques.\nExperience with learning management systems (D2L, Blackboard, Canvas, etc.), emerging related technologies (Artificial Intelligence, augmented reality, gamification, etc.), and ADA guidelines. \nExperience with instructional planning and design in an academic setting (ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education). \nExperience in assessing the effectiveness of library services and initiatives.\nSUPERVISION OF OTHERS:\nGraduate Assistants and Student Workers.\nAll positions are security-sensitive.
