You will be responsible for leading project execution, reviewing technical deliverables, providing engineering recommendations, managing client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and within budgeted effort.\nThe role requires strong expertise in power system analysis, hands-on experience with engineering simulation software such as ETAP, PSCAD, CDEGS, or equivalent tools, and the ability to translate complex technical analysis into practical recommendations for clients.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Leadership & Engineering\nLead and execute complex engineering studies across one or more of the following areas:Power System Studies: Load flow, short circuit, motor starting, transient stability, relay coordination, arc flash, harmonic analysis, and renewable energy systems including solar, wind, and battery energy storage.\nElectromagnetic Transient Studies: Insulation coordination, lightning surge analysis, GIS switching studies, and related switching transient analysis.\nEMI/EMC Studies: Electromagnetic interference and compatibility assessments for complex electrical environments, including oil & gas facilities, railways, and other industrial applications.\n\nUtilize engineering simulation tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, CDEGS, or equivalent software to perform detailed analysis and develop technically sound solutions.\nReview electrical power systems, distribution networks, industrial control systems, and renewable energy installations for technical integrity and compliance with applicable IEC, IEEE, and client standards.\nDevelop engineering recommendations for system design, operation, protection, optimization, and troubleshooting based on study results.\nProvide technical leadership in the investigation and resolution of electrical system issues, including system trips, equipment failures, and site incidents.\nReview technical reports, calculations, models, and other engineering deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency.\nProject & Client Management\nOwn project execution from scope definition through completion, ensuring deliverables meet agreed scope, schedule, quality, and budget/man-hour requirements.\nPlan and manage project resources, priorities, risks, and technical deliverables.\nMonitor project progress and proactively address technical, schedule, or resource-related issues.\nServe as a senior technical point of contact for clients and respond to technical queries with clear, accurate, and timely guidance.\nPresent technical findings and recommendations to clients through reports, presentations, workshops, and technical meetings.\nSupport business development activities, including technical discussions, proposals, estimates, and client presentations as required.\nTeam Leadership & Development\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and project team members.\nReview and support the development of engineering methodologies, tools, templates, and best practices.\nFoster a culture of technical excellence, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nSupport capability development and knowledge transfer across the engineering team.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.\nSignificant professional experience in power system studies and electrical engineering consulting, preferably within industrial, utility, oil & gas, renewable energy, rail, or similar environments.\nStrong hands-on experience with ETAP and/or PSCAD; experience with CDEGS or equivalent engineering software is highly desirable.\nStrong understanding of electrical power systems, protection, system studies, and applicable IEC/IEEE standards.\nDemonstrated experience leading technically complex projects and managing project scope, schedules, and deliverables.\nExperience interacting directly with international clients and presenting technical findings and recommendations.\nPrior experience providing technical leadership or mentoring engineers.\nDesired Skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex electrical system issues.\nExcellent technical report writing and presentation skills.\nStrong communication and stakeholder-management skills.\nEffective project planning and organizational skills.\nProactive approach to project and client management.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality and deadlines.\nStrong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a global, multidisciplinary team.\nWillingness to travel internationally, as required for client meetings, workshops, and site assignments.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nHigh-quality engineering studies and deliverables delivered on time and within planned project effort.\nStrong technical credibility with clients and internal stakeholders.\nEffective resolution of complex power system and electrical engineering challenges.\nSuccessful development and mentoring of engineering talent.\nConsistent application of engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices.\nStrong contribution to client satisfaction, repeat business, and growth of the technical consulting practice.\nETAP requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
