If you are ready to be an industry leader in electrical system simulation software development in a multi-national company that influences how engineers all over the world perform analysis, then this position is for you.\nResponsibilities and duties\nResearch, design, write specifications and prototype various power system algorithms and device models.\nSupport and develop electrical engineering simulation engines such as load flow, short circuit, harmonics, transient stability etc.\nDesign algorithms, numerical methods, and high-performance software in C++.\nCollaborating with management, departments, and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications.\nQualifications\nExperience in modeling and analysis of power system load flow, dynamics, short-circuit or stability analysis engines.\nCapabilities to research, design and testing of various power system simulation models.\nAbility to follow various industrial standards and write specifications.\nAbility to program in mathematical computation language such as Fortran, C++ and C#.\nHighly motivated, self-managed, detail-oriented and well organized.\nGood mathematical problem solving and analytical skills.\nDesirable to have experience in unbalanced power system modeling, electromagnetic transients and power electronics.\nDesirable to have experience using power system simulation software such as ETAP, SKM, PSS/E, Power World, EMTP, PSCAD\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot software algorithm problems.\nExcellent communication skills.\nEducation\nPhD or MS Degree in Power System Engineering or Electrical Machinery with graduate work on simulation software.\nMS in computer science with a strong understanding of electrical systems and 5+ years of experience will be considered.\nSalary Range : 104,500.00 - 174,500.00 USD\nThis pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.\nETAP requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
