Primary duties are designing and implementing control logic, developing specifications for PLC control and instrumentation, and guiding control and instrumentation testing for ETCH’s pilot and scale-up reactor.\nOther duties include:\nDesign control algorithms, safety loops, and narratives to support testing and general operation\nAuthor I&C system hardware descriptions including requirements, functional specifications, and I&C system architecture descriptions.\nDevelop troubleshooting plans and calculation and analysis documents to support design reviews.\nAuthor factory acceptance test procedures and develop program for instrument checking, calibration, and testing.\nCollaborate in the technical oversight and direction of external design teams (engineering firms) and internal design teams.\nFacilitate and assist in the assessment of customer needs and capture requirements and functions of the I&C design for process systems.\nRecommend process system design modifications and improvements to improve quality of products and/or procedures from a construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and/or decommissioning perspective.\nLead reviews and presentations for internal and external design reviews regarding I&C process systems design.\nParticipate in Process Hazards Analysis\nDesign systems in compliance with regulatory requirements such as the National Electric Code\nImplementation of hardware and software following company policies and procedures such as Management of Change and Lock Out/Tag Out.\nFlexible work schedule including third shift\nQualifications:\nMinimum 5 years experience in an I&C development role\nExperience with industrial chemical plants\nExperience with Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Siemens, or Emerson hardware and software\nFamiliarity with various communications protocols: Modbus TCP, Serial, etc.\nFamiliarity with industrial power (3 phase, 480V, transformer specifications) is a plus\nExcellent communication skills\nMust be able to work safely and follow safety precautions in industrial environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.)\nAble to work independently as well as in a team environment toward timely execution of goals\nFor immediate consideration, please submit your resume to .\nETCH is committed to equal opportunity for its employees.
