Business Engagement Manager

Synopsis

The Business Engagement Manager will be responsible for fostering strategic partnerships between key business stakeholders from the Operations Division and the Ops Analytics department. They will be accountable for driving value creation across the Operations Division by enabling data-driven decision-making and operational transformation. The role serves as a strategic interface between the operations leadership team (including C-suite and VPs) and the Ops Analytics function, ensuring alignment of analytical capabilities with business priorities to enhance cost efficiency, service excellence, and overall performance. Not only ensuring the successful delivery of data requests but also leverage their understanding of both the data and business unit to proactively address business problems and draw out insights and recommendations to support the senior leadership optimize operational performance.

Accountabilities

• Foster strategic partnerships between key business stakeholders from the Operations Division and the Ops Analytics department.
• Generate strategic insights from data to support business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
• Translate complex operational challenges into strategic analytical requirements and ensure solutions are tailored to business priorities.
• Leverage a strong understanding of operational processes, business drivers, and analytics to influence decision-making at the executive level.
• Develop actionable insights from data analysis to inform strategic decision-making and operational improvements to drive efficiency, enhance service delivery, and optimize operational performance.
• Anticipate emerging business needs and proactively shape analytical roadmaps to address key efficiency, cost, and service challenges.
• Proactively address business problems and make strategic recommendations to the leadership team.
• Act as the primary liaison between one of the verticals within the Operations Division and the Ops Analytics department, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of strategic goals.
• Monitor and measure the impact of implemented recommendations and adjust strategy to sustain performance improvements.
• Ensure the successful delivery of data requests, leveraging an understanding of both data and business units.
• Ensure all analytical and reporting needs are effectively prioritized and communicated, aligned with corporate objectives, and supported by the appropriate analytical stacks.
• Work closely with data analysts and scientists from within the Ops Analytics unit and external business partners within the broader Ops division to deliver analytical initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize business needs, facilitating the development and implementation of solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance customer experience, safety, and operational reliability.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, preferably in Aviation Management, Operations, or a related field. A master’s degree is desirable but not essential.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in business engagement, operations management, or a related role within the airline or transportation industry. Understanding of airline operations, and airline industry best practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data problems into a consumable presentation for senior business leaders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
