As Senior Development Manager, reporting to the Director of Software Development, you will lead several engineering teams across multiple locations, taking end-to-end ownership of people, delivery, and technical operations.\nYou will mentor leaders, align technical execution with commercial goals, resolve cross-team dependencies, and champion practical AI adoption to boost team productivity.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead Leaders & Build Teams: Coach Team Leads and engineers, foster high accountability, and manage performance, hiring, and resource planning.\n\nDrive Delivery & Operations:Take accountability for delivery commitments, operational excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring teams deliver measurable business value.\n\nConnect Tech to Business Impact: Establish meaningful engineering KPIs, balance new feature development with technical health, and prioritize investments based on business ROI.\n\nDrive AI Adoption: Lead the adoption of AI-assisted engineering workflows, establish measurable productivity improvements and help teams continuously improve how they develop and deliver software.\n\nArchitectural Oversight: Act as a technical sounding board on architecture, APIs, scalability, and technical debt without needing to review individual PRs.\n\nRequirements\nLeadership Experience: Proven track record managing multiple software development teams and coaching team leads (e.g., as Engineering Manager, Development Manager, or Head of Engineering).\n\nTechnical Depth: Background in Computer Science (degree or equivalent experience) with a solid grasp of modern architecture, APIs, CI/CD, and distributed platforms.\n\nBusiness Acumen: Ability to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, allocate resources effectively, and take initiatives from strategy to production.\n\nDelivery & Execution: Proven ability to drive predictable software delivery across multiple teams, manage dependencies, remove obstacles, and ensure high-quality outcomes aligned with business priorities.\n\nPragmatic AI Mindset: Active curiosity in applying AI-assisted development tools to enhance team workflows.\n\nPeople & Decision-Making: Balanced leadership style that blends empathy with high accountability and decisive judgment under pressure.\n\nLanguages: Fluent in both Swedish and English (spoken and written).\n\nBonus: Experience in travel tech, e-commerce, or high-transaction platforms.\n\nBenefits\nAt the Etraveli Group Gothenburg office, you will be part of +200 people, all with different cutting-edge skills and personalities.
