Part-time Dental Hygiene Adjunct Clinical Instructor

The ETSU Dental Hygiene Program is seeking registered dental hygienists to provide clinical instruction to dental hygiene students. Openings are available for the days/times listed below:

• Monday 8:00-12:15
• Tuesday 8:00-12:15
• Wednesday 8:00-12:15
• Thursday 8:00-12:15
• Friday 8:00-12:15

Employment is contingent upon student enrollment, program needs, and applicant’s availability on scheduled clinic days each semester. Program needs may vary each semester, so employment is not guaranteed each semester. This posting may remain open to retain a pool of instructors.

Job Responsibilities

Clinical instruction and supervision for first- and second-year dental hygiene students

Participation in faculty meetings and calibration sessions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene or a related field
• Graduate of an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program
• Must be currently licensed to practice dental hygiene in the state of Tennessee (or eligible for licensure)
• Minimum of five years of clinical dental hygiene experience
• Current CPR certification
• Willingness to complete continuing education courses in educational methodology

Preferred Qualifications

• Local anesthesia certification
• Experience with Patterson Eaglesoft
