You will become part of a research team investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying inflammatory diseases, including sepsis and atherosclerosis. The research utilizes a variety of molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemical techniques, as well as mouse models of inflammatory diseases. This position involves performing a range of technical duties related to laboratory experiments, standardized assays, data collection, and general research support.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform technical duties of a physical or biological nature to support research activities,\nAssist with data collection, interpretation, evaluation, and documentation for lab projects,\nOperate and set up laboratory or research equipment for experiments,\nCollect, tabulate, and calculate data using various electronic devices,\nMaintain computer databases of research and protocol records,\nOrder, replace, and maintain laboratory supplies,\nConduct minor repairs on research equipment as needed,\nPerform general laboratory maintenance and cleanup,\nTrain and supervise new research personnel,\nOccasional evening and weekend work may be required,\nCarry out additional duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nKnowledge of basic laboratory methodology.\nKnowledge of business English and arithmetic.\nAbility to perform basic informational research projects.\nAbility to gather, compile, and analyze data.\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and the public.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious experience working in a biomedical laboratory.\nImportant Notes:\nThis position is based on-site and is not eligible for remote work.\nPlease note that sponsorship is not available for this position. \nCompensation & Benefits: \nSalary: $­­20.00 per hour\n Benefits: (Employee Benefits)\n*This is an on-site position\n*This position does not have funding available for visa sponsorship.\nApplication Requirements & Conditions:\nAttach the following documents: Cover Letter, Resume, and three (3) References that include a phone number and an e-mail address.\nEmployment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.\nEmployment is contingent upon approved work authorization.\nEmployment is contingent upon sufficient grant funding.\nNon-Exempt positions are only required to be posted for a minimum of five (5) calendar days.
