someone who understands how models and AI systems work internally, can design the architecture around them, evaluate them rigorously, and take a prototype all the way to a scalable, production-grade system.\n\nRole & Responsibilities :\n\nAI/ML & Multimodal AI :\n\n- Strong first-principles understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Computer Vision\n\n- Deep understanding of LLMs and Vision-Language Models (VLMs) - tokenization/encoding, vision & language representations, multimodal alignment and how semantic information is fused\n\n- SFT for LLMs/VLMs, PEFT/LoRA and fine-tuning strategies\n\n- Model optimization: quantization (AWQ, INT4, HQQ), distillation, batching and inference optimization\n\n- vLLM and high-performance model serving\n\n- Reward modelling, custom/verifiable rewards, DPO, RLHF and GRPO\n\n- Hands-on experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers and TRL\n\nRAG, Retrieval & AI Agents :\n\n- Build advanced RAG / GraphRAG / VisionRAG systems\n\n- Retrieval & ranking : BM25, semantic retrieval, hybrid search, vector databases\n\n- Understand and implement RRF, MRR, Recall, Precision, F1, RAGAS and other evaluation approaches\n\n- Query optimization using HyDE, query expansion and rewriting\n\n- Agentic systems using LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, Agno or equivalent\n\n- Understanding of MCP, its communication/transport mechanisms, tool calling and context engineering\n\n- Structured output generation, schema validation and reliable tool execution\n\nEvaluation & ML Engineering :\n\n- Build evaluation harnesses, automated testing and benchmarking frameworks\n\n- Design golden datasets, taxonomies and evaluation datasets\n\n- Perform model benchmarking, error analysis and root-cause analysis of model failures\n\n- Design data preprocessing, transformation and ML pipelines\n\n- Understand model quality vs. latency vs. memory vs. cost trade-offs\n\n- Experience with distributed ML systems using Ray or equivalent.\n\nProduction AI Systems & Architecture :\n\n- Design end-to-end AI/ML system architectures\n\n- Taking rapid prototypes - robust production systems\n\n- Build Python/FastAPI microservices and REST APIs\n\n- Docker/containerization, webhooks and SSE\n\n- CI/CD, Git/GitHub and production engineering practices\n\n- Design scalable pipelines involving queues, asynchronous processing and distributed workloads\n\n- Hands-on exposure to multi-GPU training/inference is highly desirable\n\nBackground and Skills :\n\n- Undergraduate Degree in any quantitative discipline such as engineering or science from a Top-Tier institution.
