You will run the close, the audit and the controls for our entire business. You will also consolidate and sign off on financials for our international entities and multiple business units.\nThis is a player-coach role. You will lead and develop the accounting team while staying hands-on in the work. You will be a collaborative and supportive teammate to the rest of the business. You will build the policies, controls and systems that carry Eudia from Series A and beyond.\nJob description\nYou will own Eudia's books end to end and build the accounting function for our next stage of growth.\nClose and reporting\nOwn the monthly, quarterly and annual close for the US business.\nConsolidate and sign off on financials for our international entities and multiple business units.\nManage intercompany accounting, eliminations and foreign currency across the group.\nBuild a fast, repeatable close calendar.\nDeliver monthly financial statements and reporting packages to leadership.\nRevenue and technical accounting\nSet and own revenue recognition policy under ASC 606 across subscription, consumption and services revenue.\nWrite technical accounting memos for new pricing models, including outcome-based AI pricing.\nOwn policies for commissions, capitalized software and leases.\nDefine the cost of revenue policy for AI inference, model API and hosting costs.\nPartner with Sales and Legal to review contract terms before signature.\nAudit, controls and compliance\nLead the annual financial statement audit\nDesign, document and test internal controls that scale with the business.\nOversee tax compliance with external advisors, including income, sales and use, and international tax.\nDrive accounting and compliance for government contracts as our public sector business scales.\nEquity, investors and board\nOwn equity administration, including the cap table, 409A valuations and stock-based compensation.\nPrepare investor and board reporting.\nSupport fundraising and due diligence.\nTeam, systems and operations\nLead and develop the accounting team as a hands-on player-coach.\nHire and scale the team as the company grows.\nOwn the finance systems stack, including the ERP, billing, spend management and payroll integrations.\nReconcile usage data to billing and the general ledger end to end.\nUse AI and automation to remove manual work from the close.\nOversee accounts payable, billing, collections, payroll accounting and cash management.\nRequirements\nWe are looking for a CPA with 10+ years of experience, Big Four training and hands-on controllership at a SaaS and AI company, including building the function at a startup.\nRequired\n10+ years of accounting experience, including time in Big Four public accounting.\nAn active CPA license.\nController-level experience at a venture-backed SaaS company.\nExperience building the controllership function from scratch at a startup.\nDeep revenue recognition expertise for SaaS and AI consumption-based pricing under ASC 606.\nA track record of owning the monthly close and leading external audits.\nExperience consolidating multi-entity financials, including international entities.\nExperience with investor reporting, board reporting and equity management.\nA track record of leading and developing an accounting team as a player-coach.\nExperience implementing and managing modern finance systems, including ERP, usage-based billing and AI automation tools.\nA collaborative, can-do attitude\nBased in the San Francisco Bay Area.\nNice to have\nExperience with government contracts, including FAR and GSA schedule requirements.\nExperience with SOX implementation, IPO readiness or public company reporting.\nCompensation: $230,000 to $275,000 base
