The Quality Assurance Engineer will join our GBS division.\nWe are looking for a forward thinking ISEB/ISTQB certified Quality Assurance Engineer with extensive test experience, who is pragmatic, self-starting and who believes testing is a pivotal role in the development of systems that meet the business needs. It is important that the candidate understands T-Shaping and is willing to grow into a T-Shaped Role.\nWe expect you to work closely with the Scrum Teams to contribute to:\nWork within the squad on CREST transformation programme, focusing on the delivering in an agile fashion, primarily in testing with the ability to help developers.\nBuild business and technical knowledge to enable you to contribute to various projects that will be handled by the squad you are in and build / feed into Test strategies.\nResponsibilities:\nWork as part of the Agile team to deliver migration of legacy application to new event based and service-oriented architecture solution working in collaboration with the Solution Architect, Product Owner, Technical Lead, CREST application architects and other stakeholders.\nDeliver and lead a coherent end-to-end Testing solution that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.\nEstablish estimation principles for phases of the migration program.\nWrite the Test Strategy and must be able to propose the most optimum Test Approach. Present the approach to key stakeholders. Propose an alternate approach if required.\nPeer Review Test Scenarios / Test Cases and execute the scenarios / test cases.\nExcellent Defect Management Skills. Be able to challenge other teams / perform required analysis where required.\nSkillset:\nStrong analytical mind-set with the ability to extract relevant information from documentation, system data, clients and colleagues and analyse the gathered information.\nDerive manual and automated test scenarios and cases from collated information, documented to standards to enable review and execution by other team members as well as enabling traceability.\nAutomation Experience using Cucumber, Java and ADS.\nReviewing of team members deliverables to ensure completeness, suitability and accuracy of test specification and contribution to reporting.\nIdentify and escalate risks and issues proposing associated mitigating actions considering the criticality of the domain of the underlying business.\nAbility to facilitate discussion, extracting information to devise test approach and risk/issue mitigation.\nEssential Experience:\nAnalytical and systems design and development skills in building distributed multi-platform solutions. \nHands-on Object-Oriented Design and Java programming skills.\nImplementing Event Hub technology, especially Kafka and Kafka streams.\nDatabase design skills in database technologies such as Oracle.
