You will act as a technical reference within the domain, collaborating with engineers, architects and other technology teams on both operational challenges and infrastructure evolution.\nResponsibilities:\nYou will operate as a technical authority and domain owner for backup and data protection services.\nInstallation, Configuration, and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain our technologies within the IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring that all software and hardware components are up-to-date and functioning correctly\nDevelop solutions based on analysis of business and technical requirements.\nDevelop architecture and design of projects\nDevelop effective relationships relationship with other key IT experts\nSystem Monitoring and Performance Tuning: implement and use monitoring tools to ensure system availability and performance. Perform routine system audits and capacity planning\nCollaboration and Documentation: work with development teams and other IT staff to support infrastructure needs and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and procedures\nSecurity Management: implement and maintain security best practices for infrastructure, including patch management, antivirus solutions, and vulnerability assessments\n(Support) the automation of recurrent activities\nPropose harmonization of existing automation developments.\nParticipate in the Day-to-Day service support (incident, alerts, changes, …);\nProvide on-call support during out-of-business hours (24/7 watch duty);\nTake part in the disaster recovery management for the virtual infrastructure (RDR, SWAP, LDR, …);\nOffer consulting services to “OS” teams (Windows, Linux, Office, Tandem, Mainframe), projects and other customers\nSupport the private cloud strategy in the organization\nYou provide guidance and mentoring to engineers within the team and act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.\nWork in coordination with the Product Owner, Solution Architects and with other teams/tribes\nRequirements:\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in service engineering or service operations\nExcellent knowledge of backup platforms, with at least 2 years' experience with Cohesity in larger IT environments\nStrong understanding of the importance of regular backup and restore testing, in line with DORA requirements\nSolid hands-on knowledge of backup and restore processes, including audit and compliance aspects.\nGood knowledge of storage platforms (S3, file solutions, …), with at least 2y experience with storage solutions in larger IT environments\nGood knowledge with management of Nutanix and/or VMware virtualization environments\nGood knowledge with hyperconverged and/or converged infrastructures\nYou are passionate about automation and DevOps\nKnowledge and experience in Ansible, Tower, PowerShell or Terraform\nExperience with storage infrastructure management is a plus\nAdditionally:\nYou are fluent in English, knowledge in French or Dutch is a plus\nWorking experience in an Agile context\nDrive and energy, entrepreneurial demeanour, hands-on mentality\nOpen to work in a fast moving technical and human environment\nAble to quickly diagnose system problems and implement solutions to restore functionality\nContinuing to perform efficiently during difficult situations with high pressure.\nBe analytical \nGood collaborator with others as
