This is a full time, permanent position. Working days, Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week.

As a API Laboratory Support Analyst you will serve as a laboratory support analyst within the client environment to support their technical and analytical tasks, to work to the highest standards in terms of quality and professionalism

Job Responsibilities that you be covering:

  • You will support cell-culture and purification projects by preparing materials, setting up equipment and assisting with laboratory bioreactor runs, including data monitoring, sampling, sample analysis and feeding activities.
  • You will maintain laboratory equipment by performing routine checks such as calibrations and reagent replenishment, coordinating maintenance or repairs as required, and responding appropriately to equipment alarms in line with project and laboratory schedules.
  • You will contribute to core laboratory operations by processing autoclave and washer loads, managing consumable restocking, maintaining 5S standards and providing general laboratory support to ensure an efficient and compliant working environment.
  • You will ensure all documentation is completed to GMP standards by keeping SOPs and controlled documents up to date, maintaining accurate training records, performing sample-management activities, and preparing results and reports for trained methods.
  • You will perform investigations when required, execute independently assigned projects, revise SOPs and documentation, develop subject-matter expertise in assigned techniques and support the training of junior staff where competent.
  • You will coordinate and respond to ad-hoc laboratory requests, manage communication regarding equipment and support tasks, and provide cover for colleagues when needed, including participation in weekend or overtime rotas.

What skills, qualifications and experiences you will hold as an API Laboratory Support Analyst :

  • You will hold a diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry or Biology, or bring equivalent industry-based experience that supports effective work within a regulated laboratory environment.
  • You will have industrial experience in aseptic techniques, with hands-on knowledge of cell-culture processes considered a strong advantage and highly beneficial to laboratory operations.
  • You will bring additional experience or exposure to a biotechnology or bioprocessing environment, supporting your ability to operate confidently within complex, fast-paced scientific settings.
  • You will have experience with analytical techniques such as cell counting, pH, conductivity, metabolite analysis and osmolality, and will be able to apply these methods accurately to support laboratory outputs.
  • You will demonstrate high attention to detail, strong discipline in laboratory technique and the analytical capability needed to troubleshoot laboratory issues effectively and independently.
  • You will work effectively within team structures, demonstrating strong communication and leadership skills, and will be willing to participate in weekend work as required, recognising that the role includes regular weekend hours as part of standard operations.
