This position can be a physical job that may require standing for long periods, working with organic solvents, laboratory glassware and specialized equipment.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPerforms routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:Preparation of samples using standard techniques\nPerforming chemical analysis using standard techniques\nEvaluation and quantification of data\nRecording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor\nPerforming routine instrument maintenance\n\nCompetency in complex instrumentation instrument specific software (training is provided)\nResponsible for keeping personal training documentation (training records, IDOC/DOC) current and accurate\nResponsible for timely completion of assigned/scheduled QC samples (MDL, LOD/LOQ, PT)\nAs required, documents NCMs for projects with quality issues\nUnderstands and utilizes backlog reports to manage personal workload\nWorks under close supervision using routine and standard methods\nRegular attendance and punctuality\nResponsible for general housekeeping in work area\nProficient with IDOCs, for assigned methods carried out in the department\nResponsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment health and safety and quality assurance standards\nDemonstrates and promotes the company vision\nInventories and stocks laboratory supplies\nWashes and inventories glassware\nPurges analyzed samples\nAssists in other areas of laboratory when needed\nAdditional duties as assigned \nFollow and learn appropriate protocols in one or more of the following disciplines. This role will focus on gas chromatography and testing for pesticides.\nOrganic preparation\nMetals preparation and analysis\nPFAS sample preparation \nHRMS sample preparation \nGas Chromatography\nLiquid Chromatography\nMass Spectrometry\nRadio Chemistry\nWet Chemistry\nHigh Resolution preparation and analysis\nLow Resolution preparation and analysis\nThis position is 2nd shift, 3pm-11:30pm Sun-Thurs. Training will be M-F 7am-3:30pm.\n Basic Minimum Qualifications\nBS or BA in Chemistry or related field, Associate Degree, or 2 years of related laboratory experience in lieu of degree. \nProfessional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.\nAuthorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship \nIdeal Candidates will have:\nPrevious experience with Gas Chromatography and/or GC/MS. \nPrevious experience in a lab or production setting \nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.\nAble to interpret written materials and communicate findings effectively.\nDemonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose practical solutions.\nApplies critical thinking to evaluate options and make decisions.\nEffective collaboration skills to contribute to team goals and support department productivity goals\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.\nEffectively balances multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.\nComfortable using mathematical formulas and tools to perform calculations and analyze data.\nConsistently delivers high-quality work within established timelines and specifications.\nAble to work independently, following written or verbal instructions with minimal oversight.\nStrong interpersonal skills; able to coordinate tasks and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.\n Pay rate: $18-19/hour + 10% shift differential\nPlease note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.\nAs a Eurofins employee, you will become part of a company that has received national recognition as a great place to work.
