Maintain excellent standards of integrity, and compliance with Health and Safety, Quality System, and Customer requirements. Provide leadership, training, mentoring to build and retain a winning team. Proactively lead technical and operational development to deliver business objectives and Customer requirements.\nREPORTING TO\nManaging Director\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsible for the development, safety, and well-being of the team.\nProactively manage operations to meet customer’s requirements by effective planning and management of workflow.\nEnsure comprehensive procedures are implemented for thorough contract review of all work received.\nEnsure effective and efficient allocation of work on a daily basis to meet business and customer requirements.\nImplement and continuously improve quality system requirements.\nEnsure compliance with ISO17025 INAB accreditation requirements, regulatory obligations and customer expectations.\nMonitor and optimise technical capabilities and introduce new techniques / methods to maintain best-in-class service.\nPlan and lead development projects on method performance, validation and quality control systems.\nIncrease the capability and range of testing provided by the Laboratory to support profitable growth.\nProvide leadership, coaching, training and guidance to laboratory staff.\nDevelop and participate in training programmes.\nDevelop, implement and review strategy to retain the team and make Eurofins the employer of choice.\nDevelop, monitor and improve lab KPIs on HSE, productivity, efficiency and service delivery.\nExercise a sound commercial and financial awareness to help reduce and control costs within the required budget.\nUndertake root cause analysis in the event of any failure and implement sustainable preventative actions.\nLead and support daily/weekly/monthly checks and internal audits.\nSupport external audits from third parties, regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies, and customers.\nEnsuring excellent standards of housekeeping and hygiene are maintained at all times.\nAs part of the part of the management team, drive sustainable growth through customer service delivery excellence.\nCapacity, workload and resource planning including recruitment\nEquipment health, service contracts and calibrations\nBusiness continuity and resilience\nLab risk management and change management\nEnsure personnel competency, training, authorisation, performance management and staff engagement are maintained.\n Experience managing a team in an ISO17025 accredited commercial laboratory setting.\nA relevant degree or equivalent experience.\nOrganic, inorganic technical and operational experience in commercial ISO 17025 environment.\nAt least 5 years’ people management experience in a commercial laboratory.\nPreferably 10 years’ experience in a commercial laboratory with hands on analytical
