From the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the medicines you rely on, Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate.\nThe Eurofins network is dedicated to delivering testing services that contribute to the health and safety of society and the planet, and to its corporate responsibility to protect the environment and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across its companies around the world.\nWe’re proud to be an armed forces-friendly place to work and welcome applications from reservists, armed forces veterans (including the wounded, injured and sick), as well as cadet instructors, and military spouses and partners.\nIf you want to continue to help make our world a safer and healthier place, then apply for the role below and become a part of the extraordinary Eurofins network\n The purpose of this role is to complete, to the required quality standards, the analysis of food samples for a given method using laboratory techniques.\nThis is a part time role working 20 hours per week, there are currently the following shift patterns available:\nTuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 13:00 till 18:00.\nSunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 13:00 till 18:00.\nYes, first 2 weeks to be Monday to Friday between the hours of 11:00 and 19:00 for training.\nAdhering to documented procedures in the Quality System for all aspects of laboratory work, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly, and that all necessary records and quality data are maintained.\nSub-culturing, plate reading, confirmations and validation of analytical results as required.\nRun any equipment required for analysis such as PCR, Pathatrix and ELISA.\nConducting and recording Media QC, raising and documenting any non-conformances.\nReporting of results in accordance with the methods of analysis and Customer requirements.\nBe able to raise non conformance work following any non-conformance and to investigate root causes and implement actions. \nMaintain turnaround time at >99%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved.\nBe familiar with laboratory FGS software, understand and be able to implement processes relating to sample/test data entry.\nResponsible for ensuring that UK health and safety legislation is maintained and helping to ensure that the working environment is kept safe.\nTake responsibility for the cleanliness and hygiene of the area you work in at all times ensuring it is always kept clean and tidy. Removal of waste generated whilst working following the guidelines provided for disposal of waste.\nEnsure all appropriate paperwork is filled out on a daily basis \nWork with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.\nKnowledge of Laboratory Quality Manual in order to ensure compliance at all times with the policies, procedures and associated documents which are referred to in the manual.\nProvide a high level of internal and external customer care by ensuring all results are delivered accurately and on time.\nAssist with continuous improvement within the microbiology department.\n Diploma in relevant subject area such as microbiology. \nExperience in any type of fast pace production/retail work would be of advantage. \nExperience in working in part of a team.\nGood origination and time management.\nGood communication skills.\nAble to self-motivate.\n At Eurofins we are growing, innovating and always learning.
