Eurofins Scientific is a laboratory testing group founded in 1987 to commercialise a method for authenticating the origin of wines and foods, and it has since become one of the largest bioanalytical testing networks in the world. It runs thousands of laboratories offering food and feed testing, environmental analysis, pharmaceutical and biopharma product testing, agroscience services, clinical diagnostics and consumer product certification. The group is registered in Luxembourg, listed in Paris, and has grown almost entirely by acquiring and integrating specialist laboratories across more than sixty countries.

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company, providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries, to make life and our environment safer, healthier and more sustainable. From the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the medicines you rely on, Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate.

Eurofins is dedicated to delivering testing services that contribute to the health and safety of society and the planet, and to its corporate responsibility to protect the environment and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across the entire network of Eurofins companies.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the Qualitype/eLIMS Forensics Programme, supporting the delivery of business-critical solutions across Forensic Case Management, DNA LIMS and Expert Reporting workstreams. This is a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract.

This is a key role within a complex and highly regulated transformation programme, working closely with operational subject matter experts, programme leadership and distributed delivery teams across the UK, Europe and nearshore locations. You will be responsible for eliciting, analysing and managing business requirements, ensuring that operational needs are translated into clear, structured and traceable requirements that support successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering, analysis and documentation across multiple programme workstreams.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to understand business processes, challenges and priorities.
  • Produce and maintain Business Requirements, User Requirements, process maps and supporting documentation.
  • Apply BPMN 2.0 to model and analyse business processes and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, testers and programme stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood, prioritised and ready for delivery.
  • Support backlog refinement, change control, traceability and acceptance criteria definition.
  • Contribute to UAT planning and business acceptance activities.
  • Ensure requirements align with regulatory, quality, security and compliance obligations within a forensic environment.

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst within complex technology delivery or transformation programmes, with strong expertise in business requirements elicitation, requirements documentation, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, process analysis, BPMN 2.0 modelling, backlog management, change control, requirements traceability and Agile delivery practices. You should be confident working with tools such as Azure DevOps and/or Jira for backlog and requirements management.

You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and translate complex operational and business needs into clear, actionable requirements. Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential, along with the ability to engage effectively across business, technical and leadership stakeholders in a fast-paced, multi-workstream environment.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in forensics, laboratory environments, LIMS, case management systems or other regulated, compliance-driven and process-intensive domains, where accuracy, traceability and quality are critical.

You should be collaborative, organised and detail-oriented, comfortable working in ambiguity, managing competing priorities and facilitating alignment across distributed teams in the UK and Europe.

We support your development! Do you feel you don’t match 100% of the requirements? Don’t hesitate to apply anyway! Eurofins companies are committed to supporting your career development.

We embrace diversity! As an Equal Opportunity Employer, the Eurofins network of companies believes in strength and innovation through diversity. We prohibit discrimination against employees or applications based on gender identity and/or expression, race, nationality, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and everything else that makes employees of Eurofins companies unique.

Sustainability matters to us! We are well on our way to achieving our objective of carbon neutrality by 2025, through a combination of emission reduction and compensation initiatives. We encourage our laboratory leaders to make sustainable changes at their local level, and in addition to their initiatives we count on our dedicated carbon reduction team to help us to achieve this goal!
