The role involves the interpretation and reporting of SOC cases, supporting the provision of high-quality investigative intelligence to police forces, and ultimately assisting in the progression and resolution of criminal investigations.\nThis is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with one weekend in every four. Where a weekend is worked, one day off in lieu will be provided the following week. Your contributions will enhance the team’s capacity to deliver clear, reliable intelligence and maintain the exceptional standards for which the unit is known.\nThe role holder will be responsible for carrying out the interpretation of DNA profiling results and reporting of results to customers via relevant methods. In addition to interpretation, training in relevant addendum tasks when required.\nKeyResponsibilities and Accountabilities\nDeliver fast, accurate data entry that keeps our operations moving.\nAdhere to all aspects of the customer Operational Protocol and EFS Quality Manual.\nCarry out necessary interpretation as per standard operating procedures to required timescales\nCompletion of checks associated with the integrity of the National DNA Database (NDNAD)\nResponsible and accountable for the results sent to the customer\nReport any non-conformances or near misses\nCommunicate reporting progress with the Production Supervisor and escalate any issues that may arise\nCommunicate with Production Supervisor and/or Line Manager with regards to progress of non-casework tasks\nAssist with aspects of Science and Quality that fall within the skills of the individual.\nResponsibility for individual daily time booking on the relevant system.\nSeek continual improvement of methodology and processes that will have a positive impact on quality and effectiveness. To be eligible, you must have 5 years’ continuous UK residency.\nAs part of the vetting process, you’ll be asked to provide information about your background, including your employment and address history, financial circumstances and details of close family or partners. These checks are carried out to ensure individuals accessing police data, systems and sites are trustworthy and suitable for the role.\nFactors such as criminal convictions, financial difficulties or associations that may pose a risk could affect your ability to gain clearance.
