With our guidance, our clients can make bold, strategic decisions with confidence.\nOverview of the role\nThe Analytics team is currently looking for a data analyst and programmer to work on improving Analytics process and code that is essential for Euromonitor’s internal Forecast Model process that supports the update of our internal Passport data.\nThe successful candidate will have solid programming foundation in either Python or R, understand the cloud computing services and have a genuine interest in data analytics.\nBesides working on the internal Forecast Model process, the data analyst will likely be involved in our consulting projects that require similar skills.\nA typical consulting analytics project starts with the identification of our clients’ objectives. Then the most optimal solution is identified, given all available data and the client’s objectives. The proper data treatment is extremely important since it yields robust results during the solution development stage. The results presentation to a client concludes the project.\nRequirements\nWhat you’ll do\nDevelopment of a new and improvement of an already existing code that treats the data, performs various mathematical transformations and statistical computations. \nParticipation in internal peer review meetings and contribution to the best solution search process as well as giving comments on already created preliminary solutions \nDraw conclusions based on the results \nMonitoring for latest developments in the field to make sure we use cutting edge programming and cloud solutions \nProper documentation of each project and sharing best practices\nWhat we’re looking for\nA relevant experience of at least 18 months is required for senior role. \nCommunication skills and English fluency (both oral and writing). \nExcellent organisational skills and creativity. \nAdvanced Rknowledge. \nAdvanced knowledge of SQL. \nAbility to automate complex data analysis processes \nUnderstanding of data flows, migrations, ETLs, pipelines, and other similar tools \nUnderstanding of process scaling and parallelization. \nUnderstanding on how to write a production-ready code. \nKnowledge in econometrics, statistics and economics.\nKnowledge of Dockers, Rest API, JSON data format would be an advantage \nKnowledge of cloud computing services platforms providers (Azure, GCS, other) \nExperience in SPARQL, JavaScript, HTML or similar would be an advantage \nA genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence and related fields like data science and Machine learning would be an advantage. \nThe confidence and ability to take the post forward with the minimum of supervision. \nM.A. degree in statistics, econometrics, data science, mathematics, economics, or similar field.
