Role Overview
The Business Analyst (BA) acts as the bridge between clients, Product Owners, and Development teams. The BA gathers, analyzes, and documents business and functional requirements to ensure that software solutions meet client needs, align with product capabilities, and comply with the company’s strategic goals.

This role requires accountability, autonomy, efficiency, and commitment to client success, customer care, and product quality. The Business Analyst ensures that all requirements are clearly defined, accurately communicated, and delivered within agreed deadlines to support scalable, high-quality trading software.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into precise, actionable specifications for Developers and Quality Assurance Specialists teams.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Development Managers on backlog definition and prioritization.
- Ensure accountability, autonomy, efficiency, and compliance with deadlines in all analysis activities.
- Contribute to client success and customer care by delivering accurate, complete, and well-documented requirements.
- Support testing and validation phases to ensure that delivered features meet business expectations.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and team spirit in all interactions.
- Provide regular updates and report activities to management.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis
o Conduct requirement-gathering sessions through workshops, client interviews, and documentation reviews.
o Analyze business processes, trading workflows, and operational needs to identify functional and non-functional requirements.
o Validate feasibility and coherence of requirements with existing product architecture and strategic priorities.
o Ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness in all requirement documentation.
- Documentation & Functional Specifications
o Translate business needs into structured documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specifications (FS).
o Collaborate with Developers, Quality Assurance Specialists, and Product Owners to ensure mutual understanding and traceability of requirements.
o Maintain version control and proper documentation storage for compliance and auditability.
o Promote consistency and quality in documentation standards across teams.
- Collaboration & Communication
o Work closely with Product Owners, Product Development Managers, and Tech Leaders to align priorities and ensure efficient project execution.
o Act as liaison between clients, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and expectation management.
o Collaborate with Quality Assurance Specialists to define test cases and verify functional coverage.
o Foster accountability, teamwork, and professionalism across all cross-departmental interactions.
o Provide regular updates and report activities to management.
- Client Success, Continuous Improvement & Professional Standards
o Ensure that requirements gathering and delivery directly support client success and customer satisfaction.
o Continuously collect feedback from clients and teams to refine processes and improve efficiency.
o Uphold confidentiality, compliance, and accuracy in all business interactions.
o Contribute to continuous learning, process improvement, and the evolution of scalable, client-focused trading products.
Profile & Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business analysis, preferably within fintech, trading systems, or financial software companies.
- Strong understanding of trading workflows, order and execution management systems (OEMS), and market operations.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated accountability, autonomy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and client success.
- Commitment to product quality, compliance with deadlines, and customer care.
- Fluency in English and Italian.
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and a continuous learning attitude.
