The position will be based in Porto and you will report to the Head of Development.\nThe role requires a hands-on engineering leadership mindset. We are looking for a manager who combines strong people leadership with solid technical knowledge and who is willing to actively engage with the team when challenges arise, rather than operating exclusively through delegation.\nYou will primarily be responsible for:\nManaging, coaching and coordinating a software development team, building a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.\nProviding strong technical leadership and actively supporting the development team in solving complex engineering challenges.\nEvaluating team performance, providing continuous feedback and identifying development and training opportunities.\nPromoting engineering best practices, technical excellence and continuous learning across the team.\nWorking closely with the Head of Engineering on team capacity planning and allocation across strategic projects, business-as-usual activities and technical initiatives.\nTaking management responsibility for the team supporting the existing portfolio of applications operating across multiple European locations, ensuring effective delivery of business-as-usual activities and acting as L3 application support for the existing application landscape. This includes handling ticket and support requests according to agreed priorities and service level agreements, as well as critical production incidents requiring deep technical investigation, resolution, escalation and follow-up.\nCoordinating application maintenance activities, including software and infrastructure upgrades, vulnerability remediation, technical corrections, stability improvements and lifecycle management.\nYour profile:\nApproximately seven to ten years of professional experience in software development and IT.\nAround three to five years of management experience leading software development or engineering teams.\nStrong technical background with the ability to understand complex software architectures and distributed application environments.\nDemonstrated ability to operate as a hands-on engineering leader, combining people management with active technical involvement.\nExperience coordinating or supporting critical production incidents and problem resolution.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills in an international and distributed environment.\nFluent English.\nJoin a company where market infrastructure is built on innovation and where every innovation starts with a bold mind asking, “What’s next?”.\nAt Euronext, we believe change is a starting point, not an obstacle.
