Apply today and help us build a more inclusive, sustainable future in the world of satellite technology.\nWho You Are:\nThe Project Controller supports the Project Manager in the financial, contractual, and operational management of large-scale public or state-funded projects throughout their entire lifecycle.\nThe Project Controller will report to the Head of Group Project Controlling within the Group Controlling and FP&A organization.\nResponsible for ensuring effective control over costs, schedules, and risks to optimize the project’s economic performance.\nAs a key partner in governance, the Project Controller guarantees the reliability of financial data and ensures compliance with all public reporting and regulatory obligations.\nThe scope will be highly oriented with French army (DGA) and the position will have a dotted line with Business Unit Connectivity team in charge of managing operationally these contracts.\nThe function “Project Controlling” is newly created and will require to support the process and tools improvements till reaching a mature level.\nWhat You’ll Do:\n1. Financial Management\nDevelop, monitor, and update multi-year budgets and margin-at-completion forecasts.\nEnsure the accuracy and reliability of long-term financial projections and commitments.\nControl costs, commitments, and cash flow movements.\nAnalyze variances between actuals and forecasts and propose corrective actions when required.\nValidate revenue recognition milestones in coordination with the consolidation and accounting teams.\n2. Planning and Performance Monitoring\nChallenge the project master schedule.\nIdentify schedule, cost, or deliverable deviations and assess their impacts.\nAnticipate key contractual milestones and administrative deadlines.\n3. Reporting and Compliance\nPrepare and deliver all financial and operational reports required by public authorities or clients (ministries, public finance departments, audit bodies, etc.).\nProduce consolidated dashboards, summaries, and performance reports.\nEnsure the quality, consistency, and traceability of all reported data.\nSet up or enhance reporting processes in coordination with Finance and Project teams.\n4. Process Improvement and Governance\nDesign, formalize, and implement internal processes for budgeting, reporting, and project control.\nDefine KPIs and standard performance metrics applicable to long-term projects.\nContribute to the automation and improvement of management tools (ERP systems, BI dashboards, automated reporting).\nSupport the construction/continuous improvement and maturity of the project control function within the organization.\n5. Risk and Opportunity Management\nChallenge risk register assessment of financial, contractual, and operational risks.\nDevelop mitigation plans and follow up on their implementation.\nIdentify opportunities for financial optimization and process improvement.\n6. Coordination and Communication\nAct as the main interface between internal stakeholders (Project, Finance, Legal, etc.) and external public counterparts.\nParticipate actively in steering committees and project review meetings.\nProvide clear, data-driven analyses and recommendations to support decision-making.\nWhat You’ll Need:\nMaster’s degree in Finance, Management Control, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related field.\n5 to 7 years of experience in project controlling or financial management of complex, long-term, or publicly funded projects.\nStrong command of financial management tools and ERP systems.\nIn-depth understanding of public procurement procedures and reporting obligations.\nProven ability to design and improve financial control and reporting processes.\nRigorous, analytical, and well-organized, with strong attention to detail.\nExcellent communication skills in both French and English.\nTeam-oriented and able to work effectively across multiple functions.\nProactive, solution-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.\nWhere You’ll Work: In our HQ, Issy-les-Moulineux, France.\nEutelsat treats the protection of personal data submitted to it seriously.
