As a Hotel Contract Specialist, you are the first point of contact for our hotels. You will have the opportunity to establish the best first impression of their experience with our team and that is invaluable. Each day, you will work to negotiate and secure the best hotels and rates for our events and train hotels on our platform in order to create value for both the hotels and the athletes/families. Please note, this posting is for future opportunities only; no current vacancy.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nSuccessfully negotiating, planning, coordinating & executing hotel room block agreements with hotels\nNegotiating concessions to meet minimum targets per room night on revenue, points & comp rooms\nDirect phone & email communication with NSOs, CVBs, Hotel Sales Representatives, Vacation Rental Representatives and Contracting Companies\nTraining and Supporting Contracting Companies on Software and Contracting Process\nGo Live calls with Contracting Company Partners including Event Validation to ensure adequate inventory levels\nAnalyze and initiate event strategies that include but are not limited to projections, room consumption, blocking percentage, reservations per travel team, washing and complimentary rooms\nProvide event analytics for Post Event Analysis reports & renewal strategies \nBe an active participant in maintaining partner relationships (strategy calls, partnership growth, event renewals, meeting partner expectations)\nDrafting & reviewing contracts \nLoading contract data into EventConnect software\nTraining hotels on the use of EventConnect software\nMaintenance of events for an adequate available inventory\nUpholding contract terms; including but not limited to room types, room amounts, rate clauses, walk policies and general discrepancies\nInitiating conversations or actions required on low-performing events\nClearly communicating and following documented processes with internal departments on strategies, tasks and general updates\nParticipation with rotating on-call schedule for company emergency phone line\nAttending all scheduled in-person or Zoom meetings\nEnsure all KPIs and service benchmarks are consistently met, optimizing workflow and customer satisfaction\nQUALIFICATIONS\nAbility to multitask and be agile in a fast-paced environment\nKnowledge of the hotel industry and brand standards\nKnowledge of Vacation Rentals and Condos\nIntimate knowledge of hotel contracts and ability to contract\nAbility to calculate revenue minimums and understand revenue targets\nNegotiation skills\nAccepts and welcomes new challenges\nAccountable for being a team member and contributing to goals\nFriendly, professional and confident nature both on the phone and through email communications\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with others\nAn organized approach to completing your work to ensure clients and hotel relationships are strengthened \nA University or College graduate\nA minimum of 2-year hotel or hospitality experience\nEventConnect welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
