Learn more about us at evercars.com.\nAbout the Role\nThis is an entry point into a fast-growing EV career. As an EV Reconditioning Technician I, you’ll handle the foundational maintenance and reconditioning work that gets every vehicle retail-ready, while building hands-on EV expertise under the direction of our senior technicians. It’s a role for someone early in their career who does clean, reliable work, takes coaching well, and wants to grow into high-voltage diagnostics over time. Recent graduates of accredited automotive programs are encouraged to apply.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPerform routine maintenance and light reconditioning - brakes, tires, suspension and steering, fluids, filters, wipers, and 12V battery service\nComplete reconditioning tasks to prepare vehicles for retail sale under the guidance of senior technicians\nAssist with inspections and basic diagnostics, flagging issues for senior-tech review\nFollow OEM and Ever procedures for safe handling around high-voltage systems\nComplete pre-delivery and post-reconditioning quality checks\nDocument all work accurately in Ever’s internal systems\nSupport parts handling - receiving, staging, and inventory - as needed\nBuild EV-specific skills through on-the-job training and manufacturer coursework\nCollaborate with recon, inventory, and logistics teams to hit throughput targets\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace\nQualifications & Fit\n0-2 years of automotive technician experience, or a recent graduate of an accredited automotive program\nAble to perform basic repairs independently - brakes, tires, suspension, fluids, and filters\nHigh-voltage safety awareness, or willingness to obtain certification (Ever supports this)\nStrong mechanical aptitude and a genuine willingness to learn EV systems\nComfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic scan tools\nDetail-oriented, with real pride in quality work\nReliable, coachable, and a team player in a fast-paced, high-growth environment\nPassion for EVs and future mobility\nValid driver’s license with a clean record (must be 21+ to road test per policy)\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred\nTechnical Skills\nFoundational understanding of basic electrical theory and safe use of a DVOM (multimeter)\nComfortable with brakes, suspension and steering, and tire and alignment basics\nAbility to follow service procedures, checklists, and repair orders\nExperience servicing EVs (Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, etc.) a plus\nMulti-make, high-volume reconditioning experience (CarMax, Carvana, etc.) a plus\nASE entry-level certification, or willingness to pursue A-series certifications, a plus\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary + performance bonus\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\nPTO\n401(k) plan\nWhy Ever and this role?\nLaunch an EV career with a clear, structured path to Senior Technician\nWork hands-on with the newest EV models\nLearn directly from senior diagnostic technicians\nJoin the fastest-growing EV retailer in the U.S.\nBuild rare, high-demand EV technical expertise from day one\nDirect impact on vehicle quality and customer experience\nEver is an equal opportunity employer.
