The Senior Manager will report to the Senior Director of Accounting and take ownership of various responsibilities within the Tax function with respect to tax compliance and provision. The position will also have exposure to financial accounting responsibilities, including working with various databases to extract reports necessary for the preparation of tax workpapers, filings etc. Individual should exhibit a hands-on approach while being a team player; possessing strong organizational skills and an attention to detail.\nWhat you'll do:\nCoordinate and review the federal, state, and local income tax returns including extensions, estimated tax payments, and related workpapers prepared by external tax providers\nPartner with the international accounting team and local tax providers to manage the global tax calendar and ensure all tax returns and payments are filed accurately and on time\nPrepare tax schedules supporting the worldwide income tax provision under U.S. GAAP and review the tax provision prepared by external tax advisors\nOversee the US sales and use tax compliance\nRespond to tax notices and provide support with agency examinations\nPrepare and manage personal property tax, business tax license renewals, state/municipal gross receipts tax, GST/HST tax filings, and other indirect tax filings as required for the Company\nEvaluate tax implications of intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and international operations as applicable\nAssist with tax-related M&A integration activities, including direct and indirect tax matters\nInitiate tax planning strategies related to business growth, legal entity structure, state nexus, and transfer pricing\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Operations to support tax analysis, reporting, and compliance requirements\nWhat you'll bring:\nAt least 6+ years of relevant experience with Big 4 (or equivalent) and/or large corporate tax department of a multi-national company, with solid experience preparing and reviewing U.S. income tax provisions and statutory reporting requirements\nBachelor's Degree in accounting or related field required\nCPA license preferred\nExperience in Corporate income tax and strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills\nExposure to indirect tax compliance and business registrations\nExposure to international transfer pricing\nExcellent quantitative, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity\nAbility to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously\nStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills\nDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as a team member\nAI-First Engineering\nAt Everbridge, AI is an integral part of our engineering culture.
