This a hybrid position based out of our Warren, Boston, New York City, Stamford or Philadelphia offices. In addition to having strong technical capabilities, the ideal candidate will be high-energy, with a strong desire to learn and develop, and be attracted to the opportunity to develop new tools & capabilities within a rapidly expanding business.\nKey Responsibilities\nCAT Pricing Strategy & Ownership\nDevelop and execute catastrophe (CAT) pricing strategy across key perils (e.g., hurricane, earthquake, wildfire, flood) for specific global geographies. \nImplement the “next generation” pricing framework incorporating model outputs, climate insights, and portfolio considerations. \nEnsure pricing reflects risk-adjusted returns, market conditions, and underwriting objectives. \nAnalytics & Modeling Integration\nTranslate catastrophe model outputs (e.g., Verisk, Moody's, and others) into actionable pricing metrics and underwriting guidance. \nDevelop CAT pricing loads, technical pricing assumptions, and pricing segmentation. \nDrive enhancements in data for risk rating, modeling techniques, and pricing tools. \nPortfolio & Risk Management\nMonitor CAT accumulation and portfolio risk. \nAnalyze rate adequacy, profitability, and CAT return metrics. \nSupport portfolio optimization decisions with pro formats based on limits, attachment points, deductibles, and sublimit changes. \nQualifications & Experience\n5+ years of actuarial experience in property pricing. \nExpertise in catastrophe modeling platforms (e.g., Verisk, Moody's) and CAT risk concepts. \nProven experience integrating CAT modeling into pricing and portfolio decisions. \nAdvanced proficiency in analytics tools (SQL, Python/R preferred). \nKey Skills & Competencies\nAbility to translate analytics into business action. \nStrong communication skills-able to convey complex CAT/pricing concepts to non-technical stakeholders. \nAbility to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities. \nThe base salary range for this position is $119,000 - $150,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
