Frontend Engineer

We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Frontend Engineer to join our growing product team. You will work across our web and mobile surfaces building performant, accessible, and beautiful interfaces that serve thousands of users every day. Depending on your strengths and interests, you may focus primarily on React (web) or React Native (mobile) we value depth over breadth at the junior level, but familiarity with both ecosystems is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain responsive web UIs using React.js and mobile screens using React Native.
• Translate Figma/design mockups into pixel-perfect, production-ready components.
• Work closely with product designers and backend engineers to integrate APIs and build end-to-end features.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following team conventions.
• Participate in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Debug and resolve UI/UX issues across devices and screen sizes.
• Collaborate in an agile environment with two-week sprints and daily standups.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Strong fundamentals in HTML5 CSS3 and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands-on experience with the React.js component lifecycle, hooks, and state management (Redux / Context API).
• Exposure to React Native building screens, navigation (React Navigation), and device API integration.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and async patterns (fetch, axios, async/await).
• Basic understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with version control using Git.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a team setting.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Exposure to testing libraries like Jest or React Testing Library.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, memoization, bundle splitting).
• Familiarity with app deployment on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
• Prior work on a consumer-facing product or mobile app with real users.
